Our Customized Active Rehabilitation (CAR) program is designed for clients with physical, psychosocial and/or medical barriers to recovery, referred by companies other than Workers Compensation Board. As with the WCB-sponsored active rehabilitation programs, CAR's focus is on return to work through physical and functional conditioning and education. CAR can also be customized to include psychological and medical supports based on client and sponsor requirements.
Back in Motion has been providing Customized Active Rehabilitation for more than
10 years. Our interdisciplinary team of professionals develops a unique plan for
each client. The core team includes a physical therapist and a kinesiologist who
are supported by one or more of the following clinicians: physician, occupational therapist, psychologist and vocational rehabilitation consultant, dependent upon
the client’s needs.
Our approach relies on up-to-date evidence-based treatments, flexible service delivery and education to help clients manage their current problems and prevent future injuries. Our clients receive timely access to physical, occupational, medical and psychological intervention.
Typically upon referral, CAR clients undergo a physical therapy assessment.
Back in Motion Physical Therapist then consults with our clients' sponsors to develop a customized rehabilitation plan. This plan includes recommendations for specific treatments, approximate time frames and cost estimates.
Based on the client’s needs,
services may include a combination of the following
