Philippe De Clerck, Director of Operations &
Originally from Belgium, Philippe came to
Canada in 1988 and has lived in Vancouver since 1992. He
has an advanced degree in physical therapy from Ghent
University, where he graduated in 1988, and is currently
in the final phase of completing an MBA program at
Athabasca University, Alberta.
For most of his career Philippe has worked in private
practice. Early on, he realized that he enjoyed the
business side of health care delivery as much as the
clinical aspect. Hence, over time he gradually
gravitated toward positions that allowed him to combine
both disciplines. This has especially been the case
since he joined Back in Motion Rehab in 1998. Currently,
Philippe is Director of Operations for the company and
he is also accountable for special projects.
While Philippe no longer competes in triathlons—he
finished the Hawaii Ironman on two occasions—he
continues to stay fit through participating in a variety
of sports and physical activities. He also enjoys
reading and traveling.

When Mary is not crunching numbers at work, she can be
