Based in British Columbia, Back in Motion (BiM) is a full-service Canadian rehabilitation, disability prevention and employment solutions company. Dedicated to quality and the highest professional standards in our industry, Back in Motion’s credo is “Helping People Work. Helping People Live.”
Since 1993, BiM has provided quality innovative solutions to workers, employers and job seekers, as well as to program funders. BiM has served more than 7,500 clients across all programs and services. We have grown to over 85 employees and contractors, and presently deliver rehabilitation, assessment, and employment programs and services in Richmond, Surrey, Vancouver, Coquitlam, Langley, and Victoria.
For the first five years of operation, Back in Motion provided primarily physical and functional rehabilitation, as well as assessment services to the Workers’ Compensation Board (currently known as WorkSafeBC) from its Richmond location. In 1998, Back in Motion added a number of programs and services, including vocational rehabilitation programs for persons with disabilities.
The next seven years led to exciting developments including the addition of the South Surrey site in 1999 and the Victoria site in 2004. During this time, Back in Motion also launched several more programs and services, including Triumph Vocational Services, funded by the BC Ministry of Employment and Income Assistance. This service includes Planning and Employment Services for people with a broad range of permanent disabilities. In 2006, we added our Skills Connect for Immigrants Program, funded by the BC Ministry of Advanced Education & Labour Market Development.
In the process, Back in Motion has developed strength and expertise, not only in delivering increasingly complex programs and services, but also in assembling and managing partnerships that enhance both our team (including partners) and our services.
Back in Motion has been rated one of the best workplaces in Canada by the Great Place to Work Institute since 2006.
