Creating Opportunities
Triumph Vocational Services is a voluntary employment program for persons with disabilities who are interested in expanding their life and work skills and finding a job. It is offered in partnership with WCG International Inc. and Back in Motion Rehab. Triumph is funded by the Ministry of Housing and Social Development (MHSD).
Description of Services
Triumph Planning & Employment Services is a client-focused program that offers a range of services designed to provide opportunities for individuals to explore suitable career options, identify abilities and skills, access training, and obtain employment. Clients work with Vocational Coaches and other qualified professionals, who support them every step of the way. Program participants, together with their Vocational Coach, will develop a suitable plan that may include:
- Exploring career options through individual sessions, assessments, and group modules
- Increasing life and work skills by participating in "Employability Skills" and “Workplace Readiness” workshops
- Training to obtain skills and credentials
- Formal assessments-Functional Capacity, Psycho-vocational, Learning Disability, and Neuropsychological assessments
- Participation in Disability Management modules facilitated by Psychologists, Occupational Therapists, and Kinesiologists
- Assistance in obtaining volunteer and paid employment
- Ongoing coaching and support during employment
Eligibility Criteria
Any British Columbian with a disability or chronic health condition as verified through a medical report completed by a Registered Psychologist, Psychiatrist, or Physician, and approved through the Ministry of Housing and Social Development.
